WINTER IS COMING

Welp, it’s Autumn here and the disgusting steam of Summer is finally starting to go the hell away. Winter is coming. ~And with that thought in mind, it’s hard to hide my excitement for Season 2 of Game of Thrones, coming in less than a week now! Therefore I feel it appropriate to make a mega post inspired by these leather and fur clad dark age royals. All this medieval eye candy has had me sketching girls in fur with swords for the past month, as well as drooling over stark inspired design and fashion.

DELICIOUS PASTEL BASTARDS

I spent last week travelling around Asia with my family, and shopping like crazy. I know for a fact that french bakeries are MASSIVE in Japan and Asia, and couldn’t resist getting my filthy paws on some Macarons from Pat’a'Chou in Vietnam. Some of flavours included Rose, Melon, Ginger, Passionfruit. I don’t care if they’re mainstream, because they’re goddamn delicious.

TARTAN & SKULLS

When Violent Maiden was in the planning stages last year, I developed a small range of alternative bowties. This tartan prototype was custom designed for a friend but turned out to be a great feature shot for my branding. It now appears on some of my printed material (business/handout cards, tags etc).

This bowtie has always been my favourite but alas, I’m moving on to bigger and better things now. Soon I will start unveiling a new range of gothic chokers/collars for you to feast your filthy eyes on.

INTRODUCTION

Well, after years of internet lurking, here I am. Violent Maiden is the start of something big, something beautiful, and a significant creative endeavour in the making. This is my little corner of doom, a blog written by yours truly, the creator and mad scientist behind Violent Maiden. The Maiden originally started out as an accessory brand I conjured up in University. Now I’m bringing it to life and turning it into a fully developed Gothic Lolita accessory brand & lifestyle.

I want to share these chronicles with the universe. This abode has been born to document my love of graphic design, alternative fashion, Japanese pop culture and Gothic Victorian style.
